40s Festival – Weekend Tips

What last three days, brings around fifty thousand people to Woodhall Spa and is a lot of fun?

The answer is the 1940’s weekend! This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with even more to see and do than ever before. With all the shows, stalls and everything else going on, it can be hard to know where to start. Thankfully The INN is here with some tips to help you have the best 40’s weekend ever…

Book Parking Beforehand

Over the weekend there will be no on street parking. If you are travelling by car there are designated car parks with park and ride facilities via buses. These can be booked on the website in advance and locations of car parks are shown below.

Bring Plenty of cash and use cards whenever possible

The 40’s weekend is free to attend but there are loads of great things to spend money on. From memorabilia stalls to eateries and even a nice drink at The INN while entertainment is on. However, there are a limited number of cashpoints in Woodhall Spa and they run out early. If you prefer to pay by cash then draw it out beforehand and save it for cash only stalls. We also recommend paying by card when possible to save the notes for when it’s needed.

Bring sensible footwear

Part of the fun of the 40’s is dressing up in your best wartime outfit! However, there is a lot to see so you will be doing a lot of walking. Bring shoes you can wear all day so you are able to see it all.

Check the Weather

British summer is the most unpredictable thing ever! We have seen everything from weekend downpours to heatwaves over the years. So pack accordingly and don’t forget your umbrella/sunscreen.

We hope to see you very soon for another amazing weekend in Woodhall Spa.
