New Gin at the INN

Eagle-eyed customers may have noticed on our social media channels that we have been showing off our newest addition to our bars! Recently we have decided to stock four flavours of Whitley Neill gin.

Currently, customers have the choice of blood orange, raspberry, quince, rhubarb and ginger or parma violet. However, if you like a different flavour by Whitley Neil, simply request it at the bar and we will see what we can do in time for your next visit. Even though the distillery has been around since 1762, here at The INN we thought we would give you some more details on our brand new addition…

Whitley Neill gin was the creation of 8th generation family member Johnny Neill. Officially launched as a brand in 2005, the gin is distilled in a copper pot that is over 100 years old. The distillery has named this pot Constance and is responsible for every bottle of gin that we see today. The London dry gin is the original, however, we feel that the flavoured gins are where the brand comes into their own. Flavoured gins have been a big seller here at The INN, so much so that over the bank holiday weekend we actually sold out of Rhubarb and Ginger gin! Trust us, when you try a flavoured gin with that perfect mixer pairing, you will see what all of the hype is about.

For the more sceptical drinkers, a common phrase is the following…

I don’t drink gin because I don’t like tonic water.

This is where a flavoured gin could be the answer. Ginger ale is a great mixer with rhubarb gin and some of our gin-based cocktails are proving to be very popular.
