COVID 19-FAQ How we are making the premises safer

The INN at Woodhall Spa has been working hard over the past couple of weeks to make sure that we are as clean and safe as possible. Read below to find out what we have done and what we will be doing moving forward.


What have you been doing before July 4th?

Our staff have deep cleaned the premises from top to bottom while remaining socially distant. We have also installed hand sanitiser stations, implemented a one-way system and distanced the tables in our restaurant. We have also taken advantage of our vast outdoor seating area by spreading our tables out across our establishment.

Do I need to book a table?

We strongly recommend booking a table in the restaurant so you can be guaranteed a space. However, we are still accepting walk-in trade. Please bear in mind that in busier times there may be queues outside if we need to limit capacity. Please see the end of this FAQ for the relevant contact information.

What happens when I arrive?

The front door will be our only entrance into the premises. Here you will be greeted and directed to where you will need to go. Because of current law by the government, you will also be asked to fill in a form and provide your contact details. There will be a box at reception for you to place these in. We will store all of your data with GDPR guidelines.

How does the one way system work?

When inside the building, there will be arrows and walkways throughout to guide you to your destination. If at any point you are unsure, please ask our helpful staff for any assistance. The entrance is at the front of the building and the exit is at the hotel reception.

How do I order Food or Drink?

Two options will be available. Either scan the QR code on your table and order and pay through your phone, or a member of our front of house team will provide table service. After your order is placed, your drinks will be brought to you along with your bill where payment will be taken. We will be encouraging the use of contactless cards. We will also not be allowing tabs anywhere on the premises at this time.

Can I order at the bar?

At this point in time, no customers will be allowed to place any orders for food and drink at either of our bars. To place an order, please inform the member of staff working in your dining section. They will be able to assist you at the earliest convenience.

What if I am staying?

Please let our greeter know that you are staying with us and they will direct you to the reception. Here you will check-in and receive your room key. Due to reduced table space, please let us know if you plan on dining upon checking in or when you book your room.

How are you keeping in line with government guidelines?

All tables have been separated so they are 1 metre plus from all other tables and walkways. We also have a 1 in 1 out system for our toilets with a queuing system in place. We will be ensuring that the hotel is well ventilated, increasing our cleaning schedules to maintain our consistently high hygiene rating and sanitising all tables between seating. All tables will be empty all relevant cutlery and condiments will be brought with food.

Will hand sanitiser and PPE be present for customers?

Yes. We will have multiple stations present throughout the building and we encourage you to use them. We can also provide masks and gloves for customers. Please ask at the bar if you would like these.

Are the staff being kept safe?

Yes, thanks for asking. Our staff are being provided with personal protective equipment (PPE), working socially distant and following all government guidelines.

What restrictions are in place?

Currently, the maximum size of a party will be six people.  Also, only parties from two different households will be able to sit together.

Is the play area open?

For the safety of our customers, unfortunately, we have decided at this time to close our play area until further notice.
